Busy Weekend

It was a pretty busy weekend for us.  We usually don't get busy weekends unless husband's mother is visiting.  Weekend was busy because she's here and a cousin of mine is coming over too.

Saturday morning was spent at the pool.  Dree had fun, as she always does.  We then went to the dentist for my appointment and headed home.  Dree slept and had a good rest for a few hours.  We went to her pediatrician in the afternoon.  She had her check up and booster shot for Hib vaccine.  Then we went to the grocery for a bit of a shopping before heading home.

Sunday was busy too!  Went to the airport to pick up husband's mother and in laws, had lunch at a nearby resto, went shopping and got home late afternoon.  Good thing Dree wasn't being fussy and was eating the time we were out.

The weekend just breezed by.  I didn't feel like I was able to rest because of the activities we had and I worked too.  I guess I should be looking forward to the next weekend then.  See you around.

Food Adventure

Eating out has been a favorite past time of my husband and I.  We like trying out different restaurants in the city.  Foreign dishes mostly tickle our fancy - IndianMiddle Eastern and Mediterranean.

We feel like we've been to a certain country and have tried their local food with this kind of experience!  Since we love traveling, this is the next best thing to it that we can do often.  Traveling nowadays is a bit hard for us because of Dree being a toddler and very fussy every time we go out of the house.

Now, if you excuse me.  I'm heading out the door to visit the next door Indian cafe!

Weekend swimming

Having so much fun!
During weekends, my husband and I look forward to our family activities.  One of these is swimming.  We go to a public but well maintained pool.  Good thing the place is accessible for us to go to since traffic is really bad in the city.
One of the reasons we go swimming is for our baby to be acquainted with water early on.  We plan to enroll her in swimming class once she gets a bit older.  We're hoping this would help her overcome her asthma attacks.  We searched for good swimming schools in the city for toddlers and we saw Bert Lozada's school.  We checked out the pools that they use for classes and we're very happy that two locations are near our place.  We can't wait to see her attending the class soon!

Missing the Mat

I have been MIA (missing in action) from my yoga class since I got pregnant. I miss my yoga mat. I miss going to the gym to attend classes. I miss exercising.

With yoga, I am at peace. I enjoy the calmness and peaceful environment while exercising. I don't like doing strenuous activities in the gym. What I love the most about yoga is that I can lose weight at the same time learn how to meditate.

There are different kinds of yoga practices.  However, the varieties that I'm familiar with are HathaAshtangaBikram and Iyengar. I used to practice Hatha with combination of Pilates before.  I want to try Bikram which is being done in a heated room.  That means double pressure and needs more focus.

When my baby grows bigger, I will definitely go back to doing yoga. For the meantime, I'll try to do home video tutorials so I won't miss the mat anymore.

Traveling

We just got home from a tiring trip.  Yes, it was supposed to be a vacation for our family but it turned out to be an exhausting one.  Maybe because we didn't plan anything to do for the entire time that we will be on holiday.  We just wanted to relax and maybe do a bit of swimming for the kiddos.  Secondly, husband's niece got sick and was hospitalized thus we were all affected by it.  And lastly, I think the break was too short!  We only spent 4 nights there and it seemed that we only enjoyed a few days of it.  Boo.  Perhaps another R and R in June?  Haha!
